They departed from Sarnia on May 19 in the evening and arrived in Goderich in the early morning on May 20 to load Salt. Question I have though is this, sometime in the last few days she was moved to “being next to the Saginaw to just recently being astern of the Saginaw and behind them!” Any Sarnia boatnerds know just when the Pierson was moved behind the Saginaw? Jamie or any Sarnia boatnerds know or recall just when they were moved?

They no longer have any ETAs for the moment anyway listed on Marine Traffic.

Very true indeed Guest. We will have to wait and see yet just how much salt she carries. With both the Compass and Buffalo hauling some salt, the Pierson may not need to carry much salt but again we will have to wait and see then.

Just because it’s loading salt for its first load doesn’t mean it’s going to haul it on a regular basis

Noticed since yesterday, the Pierson now has an ETA posted for Goderich on May 18 at 1500 hours or at 3 PM subject to change. Looks then like she will be used in the Salt Trade then for Algoma once she starts sailing. Just wonder then how many more years and seasons then Algoma will get out of her before they and the salt cargoes ruin her? Luckily at least the Compass and Buffalo have both held up well so far anyway from all the salt cargoes they’ve carried since joining Algoma then in 2018.
