The MV Manistee is headed for Brevort to load sand today that is headed for Buffalo. But winds are are stopping them from getting into port. Once loaded they should be to Buffalo sometime this next week. Unless something else changes.
Assuming she took on a load of Sand, I would assume she is headed for Buffalo Sand Products. Based on what they have on thier yard I would expect to see a Lower Lakes Vessel there within the week, so Cuyahoga seems to make sense.
The boat loaded grain in Owen Sound, not sand. She can't bring sand here because it's loaded in an American Port and she's registered Canadian.

The Sand Products Landing usually gets their first load of the year around Memorial Day in May.
This run by the Cuyahoga was with grain, not sand.

There is a single loading spout at the elevators and the time seemed to be in line with other load times. Most grain is trucked out of Owen Sound.

The Buffalo Vessel passage section show Cuyahoga likely headed to Toledo, but I would still anticipate a Lower Lakes Vessel in Buffalo in the next week or 2.

Was that a typical load time? Seemed to take forever.

Cuyahoga departing Owen Sound 2:15 p.m. Thursday after loading at Great Lakes Elevators for ? Buffalo? Quebec City? Port Cartier? Somewhere else? Cuyahoga is usually only seen on Owen Sound once or twice a year delivering salt.
