Thanks for the info Mr link. I guess they could have all been there dureing my trip up in aug just didnt see them from the I75 bridge as we drove over it.

Drove down M-13 today and the Gregory J. Busch, the Barbara Merry Busch and the STC 2004 were all at the "dock" (which is more like a landing than a dock). Their smaller tug and barge may have been there was well, but I didn't have time to pull over for a more detailed look.

I was up in saginaw this past week seeing family and noticed none of bush marine tugs nor bardges were at there dock. Any idea where they have went? It made me wonder if bush marine has relocated or even been sold to another company. Thanks for any information.

The Gregory J Busch was downbound on Lake Huron last night, headed for the Saginaw River. The Busch must have come in early this morning and made her dock because the AIS is already off. I will track her down when I get a chance and take a few photos.

AIS showed her in the lower St. Marys River, but she appeared to be stopped.

She was underway downbound from the MCM Marine Drydock on Friday, August 10 sometime in the late afternoon hours.

Any word what her status is? Is she still in the dry dock at MCM Marine at the soo? Thanks for any information.

Check that- Bush has 12-251 Alco's not 244 Series. Still the Olive Moore has seen a lot more work.

She is waiting for the drydock. ABS drydock is due.

I took the boat past the Gregory Busch this morning. The stack markings are not just faded, they have been painted out, as the photo shows. No activity around her.

Isn't the Edwin the former Statesboro? http://www.boatnerd.com/news/newsthumbs ... -06-gg.jpg A few summers back Bush was busy moving wind turbine parts and they were moving stone from Marinette down Lake Michigan a little while back but I don't think they've been that busy recently. I can't see her replacing the Olive Moore seeing she is nearly 100 years old, and I believe has 244 series Alco engines which probably date from the 50's at the latest. The Moore has "newer" 251 Alco's and has seen a lot of work. ABS still has the Bush with Bush marine but that site doesn't update instantaneously.

To answear my own question on the other Tug after looking in my Know Your Ships book the other Tug is the Edwin C. Bush. So my question is has anyone seen her around anywhere or have any information on her? Thanks Daniel

Thanks for the reply and information Roger. Makes me wonder if shes been sold to new owners or if shes going to be scrapped. I read awhile back that lower lakes towing was looking for a replacement for the Olive L. Moore. One last thing didnt Bush Marine own another tug also? I cant think of its name just remember seeing it at the Bushes dock on the saginaw river.

Yes, she is still here, with no activity around her (cars, etc). There are a couple of rusty barges at the same slip but I think they were here before she was. Also, the Busch Marine web site is gone.

Is she still up at the soo? Any idea whats going on with her? Is it possible shes in for repairs? Does she have her barge her also? Thanks for any help Daniel.

I know earlier in the season, the Busch Marine markings on the stack were almost worn off and barely visible. Maybe they are all the way gone now?

I haven't heard anything around here.

Tug is tied up at the Carbide Dock in the Soo and no longer has the Busch Marine logo on her stack. Has she changed owners? What is she doing in this neck of the woods?
