I think the boat that you saw is a tug and barge combination that hauls cement from Charlevoix to Lake Michigan ports. The name of the tug is the Prentiss Brown, while the name of the barge is the St. Marys Conquest. Hope this helps.

I see this boat pass often but can't make the name out.
