Friday, May 14th 2010 Bidco Marine (Buffalo Ny) steel twin I/O dive vessel sinks a Gibbs Marina on the west side of the Genesee river. Vessel was reported going upbound at 4:45 pm to return to her dock at Gibbs Marina running very low in the stern. At around 5:15 pm Vessel Had partially sunk at the dock. Gibbs Marina personal attempted to life the dive vessel at 6:45 pm and failed, stoping work at 11:45 pm. Saturday Gibbs personal started second attempt at lifting the sunken vessel at 10am. By 5 pm Bidco Marines dive vessel was afloat and towed to Gibbs Marina's haul out dock.
Bidco's vessel leaked an unknown amount of gasoline into the Genesee river with No containment booms inplace.
Reasons for sinking; starboard I/O exhaust hose became disconnected which allowed a 3.5 OD hole into the stern of the vessel.
