The New York Public Library just released 187k images into the public domain.

I guess that a bunch pertained to shipping/lakers, so I did a quick search. The following images all pertain to Duluth and are from the NYPL's collection of Detroit Publishing Company postcards.

I'm guessing there's lot of other neat ship/shipping/maritime info released their too. Figured some of you history buffs would like it:
