Well, I would have to say the Middletown, beautiful lines, nice tall stack, big old ventilators, and a noce streamlined SU hopper that doesnt kill those beautiful lines.

I have 4
1st: My 1st ship Maunaloa II 1967 &1970 (you always love your 1st ship I was night cook in 67 and oiler in 70.
2nd: M.V.Ontario Bomar Navigation 1972&73 my 1st trip sailing deep sea,joined ship in Las Angeles in Nov 1972 and stayed on board until June 1974 visited Peru,Germany,Holland,France Brazil,England,Tunisia just to name a few.
3rd:Cape Breton Highlander June 1975 to 1978 as an oiler served on her when she was renamed Canadian Highlander 1983 to 1985 as 3rd and 2nd engineer.again this ship rook me to many ports around the world mainly Holland and Belgium
4th My favourite ship of all time from 1985 to 1988 MV Saskatchewan Pioneer.By far the best ship I ever sailed on.Sailed as 3rd and 2nd engineer visited many ports on this veddel.She was brand new and was a gem to work on.she also took me to many ports around the world inc.Holland many times,belgium U.S.S.R (Lenongrad) and to Poland (Gdansk and Zcechin Stetin) before the iron curtain fell.

After reading the posts I believe the old Lakers post out numbered the footers post.I like the old Lakers that were under Steam,which there are not many left. I would say the EM Ford because of its quad druple Expansion Steam Engine.But that might not be intact much longer.So. the Ryerson classic Laker Would be my second choice.

My favorite is the Paul R. Tregurtha because she was the very first ship
that I ever saw and always will be my favorite. I also like the Ryerson,
Arthur M. Anderson and the American Integrity & Robert S. Pierson.
Throw in the Algolake as well and also Canadian Miner though she is no
longer sailing. Gotta add also the Roger Blough another great boat also.
I could go on and on but, these are just a few of my favorite boats.

Atlantic Huron. She was the first boat I got to see up close and in person. I was in line for a roller coaster at Cedar Point and saw her go right by. I also like PRT, but just because it's so big. But I've yet to see a footer.
