Canadian Olympic was downbound at the Soo around 5 am Wednesday still under that name and ULS colors. No evident changes.

The Canadian Olympic's AIS signal is still showing Canadian Olympic and Transport Canada and Industry Canada are still showing her registered as Canadian Olympic. I would think the name and stack changes may come over next winter. Remembering back, when Algoma bought the Nipigon, Carryore and Misener bulkers, they ran the rest of the year with no changes, only to be renamed the following spring.

The Boat Watchers site of the Lake Superior Visitors Center at Canal Park in Duluth is now listing the Canadian Olympic as the Algoma Olympic today, 5-16-11. It is loading ore at Duluth. Maybe this can be confirmed later, or when it comes down the Lakes from there?

Does anyone know when these vessels will be renamed and algoma colors, and will any of them be trading
on the saginaw river?

Canadian Navigator is at the shipyard in Thunder Bay, last word on this site I believe was that ACM was evaluating the amount of repairs needed to keep her in service.

Canadian Transfer is listed in winter layup at Goderich.

All the other ex-ULS vessels are sailing with the exception of Canadian Miner and Canadian Ranger, which were already retired before ULS was sold.

You can keep tabs on the ex-ULS fleet under the Algoma Central Marine section of http://www.boatnerd.com/passage/defaultpassage.htm

I havent seen any of the former ULS boats sailing. Are they sailing or waiting for new paint/paperwork?
