If you can get the cargo load data which is not around that i can find you will see the Mariner is right around 30,000a trip. also I heard the from someone that said that's the max they can take in a load

It may be closer to the range of 21,000 - 24,000 metric tons of wheat per trip. When she leaves Duluth-Superior for Buffalo she doesn't usually seem to be loaded all the way down to 26' of draft so she's not likely carrying quite as much as 30kmt.

ASC had the fortitude, Acorn, Mariner for grain. all 3 have come to buffalo in the past.
With just the American Mariner they need a back up boat that has the papers to be certified to carry grain

The American Mariner is bigger than the H L White and has a bigger load [ if remembering right the Mainer brings in just over 30,000mt of grain a trip. The white is smaller so the load is smaller

Also they needed a special built hopper for the end of the boom to unload at General Mills

Boland is not set up for grain, the White is our back up and she just got set up for grain. This is her trial run. Plus she doesn't carry as much as us.

Could this be a first then as far as the White then carrying a grain load and cargo? At least to Buffalo I’d say it’s a first as like what was said by the previous poster, the Cornelius about a decade or so ago was the one doing the grain trips to Buffalo and since then it’s been the Mariner. Don’t know if the Boland has ever done a grain trip yet to Buffalo and if not, then I’d keep an eye on her someday to possibly do a trip there.

Mariner has been the one carrying grain to Buffalo for the last decade or so, with the last exception being the old Adam E Cornelius in 2009 to my knowledge.

I see the H Lee White is carrying a grain cargo from Duluth to Buffalo. Does anyone know the last time she has carried grain? It seems like the American Mariner has carried the grain on this route the last few years. Also seems odd that both the American Mariner and H Lee White were in Duluth at the same time this week and American Mariner took the ore cargo to Gary instead of the grain to Buffalo.
