I just managed to fix my login issue with Google tonight and can now provide a link to the map of iron ore mines.

https://www.google.com/maps/d/edit?mid= ... sp=sharing

The map may be a bit outdated, so if anyone sees any issues, please reply to the thread and I will work on it as I have time.

Thank you.

I did create a Google My Map of all the Iron Ore Mines in the United States and Canada, but when the new Boatnerd website came online, it was removed.

I still have the map available on my Google account, but when I tried to login tonight I had technical issues with login. So, Google has to reset my password which takes over six hours - as they need to know I'm me!!

I also have a Google Map of the integrated steel mills in the United States and Canada. If there is interest, I will add that to my followup post, too.

All the best,

As far as the LS&I dock in Marquette it serves the Cliffs Tilden Mine in Ishpeming. Used to also be the Empire mine, but they idled that plant several years ago. The ore dock in Lower Harbor used to service the Republic mine when it was open, if I am not entirely mistaken.

Superior: Hibtac, Kewatin/National

Duluth: Mintac, United/Evtac/Cliffs-Thunderbird

Two Harbors: Mintac, Minorca/Inland

Silver Bay: Babbitt

Marquette: Just pellets from the mine in the U.P.

As my man Denny says: Hope that helps! Hope that's a little to get you started!

I recall seeing a chart on this site as to which ore docks each mine services. Anyone know where this list is located?
