EJB I can’t say or answer that mostly due to the fact that I never once saw her in her Misener hull color and livery. I’ve seen her as Federal Fraser and now as the Spruceglen and that’s been it! The best thing IMO at least is when she was purchased by CSL and the painted her hull in red along with the Birchglen as well. Before they got the CSL red hulled pain applied to each of them, I hated their hull colors and the looks of them! Personally EJB, I miss the days of the Pioneer hull colors seeing that on the Silver Isle, Senneville and the Saskatchewan Pioneer. Ah, those definitely were the good ‘ole days of shipping back then. I didn’t get started into the boats, the hobby, passion and the photography of them until the early 1990s. So, I missed a lot of good stuff once I became involved with the boats. I still got to see the Pioneer hull colors on the 3 that I mentioned earlier it’s just that the Misener blue I didn’t see too much of back then. I definitely miss the Oglebay Norton ships as Oglebay usually took great care of their ships and usually had them looking very good come Spring Fit Out with fresh paint. Now days, I think only Interlake and GLF really take good pride and care of their ships and boats and not like sims of the others.

Yup you’re right EJB as indeed the CSL St-Laurent is on her way to Quebec with I believe and think grain from Thunder Bay. Hang in there my friend as your all time favorite the Spruceglen will be back out soon before you know it! She’s just taking a rest and a long deserved break and a nap for right now before she awakens in time for the Fall Grain Rush.

An update on my question on the CSL St-Laurent as I see she was downbound at the Soo recently on August 11 headed for Quebec to unload. So, that answers my question on where they have been at lately. What IF any Canadian ships besides Spruceglen are laid up now and awaiting the Fall Grain Rush of 2025?

Well EJB, you found out where your boat has been hiding out at! Another CSL that comes to mind is CSL St-Laurent? Whats up with them as I haven’t seen them in a while either? Are they laid up someplace or still out running but I’m just missing the reports? Sorry to go off topic in adding the CSL St Laurent here. With my health issues, unfortunately it gives and leaves me with very little time if any right now to read any boatnerd news along with the Port Reports as well. Thanks for any info and replies.
