They departed from the Monroe Anchorage this morning and from what I can recall on Marine Traffic, they arrived in Monroe around 10:30 a.m. to complete and finish their unload and discharge then. With the Seiche that we had on Lake Erie dropping the water levels down, I guess in all fairness an early sneak peek preview maybe of our Fall & Winter seasons to come then at that point! Will be interesting to see what the upcoming Winter brings us and if we have any ice out there or not? Time will tell us those answers then.

Lake Erie experienced a seiche with the high winds on Wednesday with the water levels dropping 3' or more. Water levels were still bouncing around quite a bit Thursday and the water level has been 10-12" below the typical for this time of year.

Great Questuons Bob. I would say probably to your point, Water Level issues and we’ve had a lot of wind as well here in the past few days. I know a few days ago they anchored near De Tour on their way down after locking through at the Soo but, I believe that was weather related maybe due to the winds. This year, I envy anyone that’s seen her as I won’t be able to unfortunately on the count of my struggling health issues. Hopefully 🙏🤞 next year I will get my chances and opportunities to see her. Next year in 2026, she will be sailing for 45 seasons and hold the Queen of the Lakes Title for nearly half a century now longer than any other Queen of the Lakes. Wishful thinking Bob but, I would really like to see her be the first ship at the Soo to open it up then for 2026! What a headline that would be as the PRT opens the Soo in 2026 maybe and celebrates 45 years sailing and that many seasons as well as the Queen of the Lakes! Hey, no harm in thinking about it and dreaming about it. I say this to any and all then, “Why not as it makes sense to me?”

The Paul r Tregurtha has been anchored in western Lake Erie for about 3 days now. Ais shows they are heading to Monroe to finish there split unload. Are the water levels low in Monroe and that’s why the Tregurtha hasn’t gone into port yet or are they having mechanical issues?
