Actually, upon trying your guidance, I find it doesn't actually display on the side. Rather it displays at the bottom of the news page. And the lack of illustrations (one of my main reasons for coming to this site is to ogle photos of old ships) hardly seems like an improvement on the old website.

What I meant by "no organization" was things are merely listed in chronological order starting in 1900 instead of being listed according to the current date. The information you provided may well be my answer. Thanks.

You are correct if you access the "Great Lakes & Seaway History" from the "Boatnerd News" drop down menu on the top of the home page. However, each day, another link is posted on the right hand side of the homepage. Here it is titled "On This Day" and if you click on the title, it will take you directly that day's write up.

As for photos, we are re-incorporating them as time permits. And yes, to address another comment, eventually most photos will display in a larger format if you click on them.

I am not sure what you meant by there is no organization to the section. Can you elaborate?

In its new guise, it seems one has to scroll all the way to the date you desire, that there's no organization nor photos anymore to this section. Is this correct, or am I missing something?
