The local news in Toledo is reporting there is no longer an explosion danger, the fire is being managed, and the cause is unknown. The burning wheat, valued at $ 3.5 million, was emptied from the silo and will be a total loss. ADM officials will assess the silo damage for repair or razing. I have uploaded 2 photos of the site. 2nd photo is a 2007 Bob Vincent picture of the ADM (formerly Countrymark) silos. The 1st photo is the same dock area in 1957 before the silos were built. The Champlain (1943-1987) broke loose from her lay-up moorings at the same place as the silo fire. The ship was able to take down the bridge with minimum damage to herself.

Not sure of all the details, but I heard on the radio this morning that one of the elevators on Miami St. in Toledo had a fire and the surrounding roads were closed for fear of explosion.
