I have vacationed just north of Harrisville for many years and you can see upbound vessels heading for Alpena occasionally but good binoculars are required. Most other traffic is hull down on the horizon.

Is Harrisville State Park Campground a good watching site to enjoy freighter watching. Can I see them from the beach?
I'll be camping with family, We have many Know Your Ships Books. How many ships pass by there in early Oct.2010? This is the 1st time there, we had previously enjoyed watching at Port Huron,on down to Algonac.
