Denny, I watch the river from under the Blue Water Bridge, live cam 24hrs a day. The site is porthuroncam.com .Those campers just showed up a few days ago and I hope they will soon leave.

Fresh from Friday morning (March 8, 2019)! Hope this helps...but, knowing how Mother Nature is, it could all change overnight!
Lakeside Park is above the BWB a mile, on Gratiot.

There is a ship cam on Youtube that is located at Marine City that provides a good view of the current conditions on the river all the way down to the Algonac State Park. It is called Ship Cam - Marine City and can be easily found in a Google search. They have to keep updating the feed ever so many days so adding a link would be useless within a short period of time.

St. Clair River and Lake Huron ice

Unread post by Denny »

Can anyone please give me an update on the current ice conditions out along the St. Clair River and up in Lake Huron? I may decide to head out there this weekend and would like to know just where and what areas to look for as far as the heaviest of ice. How bad is it from Marine City down to Algonac as that stretch of the river always gets jammed up due to it being narrow I guess through there. Also what about any ice up in Port Huron and into Lake Huron? Can you see any ice fields as far as in Port Huron or at Fort Gratiot? Sorry for so many questions just need to know what areas have the most ice cover along the St. Clair River and in Lake Huron? Any information is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
