The Gales of November & Other Fitzgerald Books

Unread post by Guest »

First published in 1981, I have found Robert Hemming's The Gales of November as one the best I have read of the Edmund Fitzgerald shipwreck. I feel the author does a very good job of creating a work that blends non-fiction and historical fiction to convey what may have happened on the Fitzgerald during that voyage. I recently re-read my copy that I hadn't read in over 20 years and still found it very interesting. Perhaps my only complaint is a comment made about the captain of the Algosoo that I feel was somewhat unwarranted and unnecessary but other than that it is a very interesting book. I was wondering what others thought about this book and other books on this subject is they care to share them.
