Started to move the Idiana Harbor to the dry dock yesterday at 7pm and the scraper had a malfunction. Tried to put the boat on the blocks but too much ice on the stern so we had to fill the dock back up and startd scraping again at 11:00 am this morning and as of this post (at 6:00pm) they are still scaping and the tug operator just let me know they should be done at 9:pm and start the pump out.

Here's a link to a photo from the Facebook page of the Door County Maritime Museum showing the Pineglen being moved. It's a snowy, hazy day but you can see the red hull.

The Pineglen's has a different look. The hull was painted a redish brown instead of the black it had.

Maumee
Has there been any conformation of an earlier report that a "crack" had been detected on the Maumee and that she has been restricted to "shallow" water. Also, since her trip to BayShip has been cancelled should we assume that she is headed to the scrapper?

How many ships are at Sturgeon Bay now for layup? I know that both the Coast Guard Marine Safety Detachment and the ABS office are extremely busy with inspections and the monitoring of work on the ships.

Sharyl, a bunch of us following its progress saw that as well and got a real kick out of it. We truck drivers use that phrase alot, heading to Da Barn!

Last night I caught her at the MarineTraffic website on Lake Michigan just south of Milwaukee headed north, her destination was listed as "Da Barn". Definitely got a smile out of me!
